23 warm-weather activities that sure beat shoveling

Winter: Your days are numbered.

We’ve shoveled and plowed and dug our way out more times than we care to remember. And now we’re doing it again. Don’t get us wrong, winter, we’ve had fun on the sledding hills and ski slopes. We’ve appreciated the way your snow sticks to trees and we’ve embraced the opportunity to build impermanent forts in the yard.

But we’re ready for warm weather. We’re ready to leave the gloves behind. We’re ready to be outside without the risk of frost bite, slush-covered pants, and an ever-flowing runny nose. It’s been grand, winter. But we’re breaking up.

And while you pack your things – here, let us help you box up that frigid wind – we’ll be thinking warm thoughts. Of summer:
