“I’m day drinking with my dog,” laughed Pamela Boivin of Hallowell, who was with her three-legged buddy Dogfish at the annual Ales for Tails fundraiser for the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland. The BYOD (bring your own dog) beer fest at Thompson’s Point on Saturday, Sept. 29 drew more than 1,000 humans and hundreds of dogs. With the dog days of summer behind us, the first day of crisp fall weather was just right for spending an afternoon outdoor with other dog (and beer) lovers.
