Happy Birthday, Joan Osborne…here’s why I think she’s awesome.

Written by: Aimsel Ponti

Yeah. I know. We’re all sick of “One of Us.” I get that. But you know what, there’s SO MUCH MORE to singer Joan Osborne than that one (fantastic) song.  In fact, that entire album “Relish,”  where “One of Us’ resides is almost 20 years old and there’s a ton of killer stuff on there.

On this occasion of her 52nd birthday I’d like to publicly declare my love for her. I’ve seen her live and frankly my dears, she’s awesome.

Joan Osborne

Joan Osborne has recorded 8 studio albums and the latest one is “Love and Hate,” released in April.

Here are six carefully selected songs from her career that will hopefully  help you steer clear of labeling Osborne as a one-hit wonder.

Happy Birthday, Joan!!!

Joan digs Hall and Oates!

“Right Hand Man” original tune  from “Relish”

Joan digs The Rolling Stones!

Joan digs Gladys Knight !

Joan digs Otis Redding!

“Heart of Stone” original tune  from “Breakfast in Bed”
