A very Brady blog post…homage to Alice

By now you’ve likely heard that Ann B. Davis passed away this past weekend. Or as she’s better known, Alice from “The Brady Bunch.”

Alice in Action Alice 1

Frankly, I can’t imagine my childhood and teen years without Brady Bunch reruns. Heck I watched a couple of episodes as recently as two weeks ago. And let’s face it, Alice Nelson was the glue that held that zany family together. She cooked, she cleaned, she participated in their potato sack races, their silly backyard astro turf shenanigans and their family vacations.  And Alice always had a pearl of wisdom or a wise crack to take the edge of even the most dire situations. (think broken nose, busted vase, identity crisis and hair color debacle among other traumas).

I salute you, Alice and hope you rest in sweet peace Ann B.Davis

I’ve pulled together this collection of songs that bring to mind the legacy of superstar housekeeper, confidante and pal….Alice.

We’ll bring on an obvious note. I mean really people, where do you think she got all her energy from?  But what kind of pills was our gal popping? Wanna know? Just go ask Alice…

Man alive, nobody can clean a house like Alice can!

I am certain that even Alice had days where she just couldn’t take it anymore.

I wonder how many times Sam the butcher sang this one to his lady…

Whatever the Bradys paid Alice, it surely wasn’t enough. She worked her tush off.

I know Alice sang this one at least once . Can you blame her? Those Brady kids were a handful.

I’ll end with this one. Alice…you go girl! We’ll always love you.
