Spotted in the Street: Bonjour, Mademoiselle

There’s a reason why American women are obsessed with French women. They look effortlessly chic. They always have great haircuts. They have style built into their DNA. They have that certain je ne sais quoi! So it was no surprise that this Freeport resident, a teacher at L’Ecole Francaise du Maine, hails from France. I nearly bumped right into her as she was heading out of Akari. Right place, right time.

I’m absolutely ga-ga for her look from head-to-toe. Perfectly winged eyeliner, a lovely bob and that military-inspired jacket? No words. I swooned over her gold ankle booties but alas, you can’t find them here. They were purchased in France.

One of the best things about street style is that it serves as a great source of inspiration. She’s given me the courage to give liquid eyeliner another try. And that haircut? I might be taking a pair of scissors to my own coif very soon.
