Looking cool in the hot, hot heat

Kick, push it, kick, push it. Every time I spot someone with a skateboard, I sing that tune in my head. Anyways, this New Gloucester resident was waiting for friends on Exchange Street when I spotted her hanging out with this skateboard. It was like she was perfectly propped, just waiting for me to take a photo. This seemed to be the uniform for lots of ladies in the street over the weekend: tank top and denim cut-offs. What else are we to wear when it’s 90 degrees and the humidity level, according to Keith Carson, is uncomfortable.

I really loved her jean shorts (which she scooped up at Urban Outfitters) and thought it’d be a great DIY to try at home. So I went home to try it on an old pair of shorts. But then I got too hot and thought, eh, I’ll just buy a similar pair.
