Are straw hats the new must-have mens accessory?

Sometimes when it’s startlingly hot out, we tend to wear things we wouldn’t normally wear. Was that me with a mini electric fan around my neck over the weekend? Yup. And I’m not ashamed to admit it. These guys were rocking the straw hats but I’m pretty sure it’s not something that’s part of their daily repertoire. His was a way to proudly display his alma mater, as his tipped hat revealed the Bowdoin College insignia on it. Maine pride!

The trio (class of ’13, ’12 and ’11 respectively)  looked perfectly preppy in their coordinating navy, pink and stripes. And though these guys caught my eyes initially, let’s not forget how great she looks in a perfect summer combo of a striped shift dress, gold gladiator sandals and a matching gold bag. Turns out none of these folk are from Maine originally, but they’ve all decided to stick around in Maine indefinitely. Bowdoin certainly does produce some very smart people!
