A couple that swapped Manhattan for the midcoast

I ran into Andrew and Alex, a couple that works for Salt Water Farm in Rockport, while they were visiting Portland for the day. The two run Union Hall, SWF’s cafe, which just so happens to be my current favorite place. Kismet!

I definitely had one of those I-feel-like-I’ve-seen-you-before moments and turns out, Andrew did too, as he recognized me from the last time I was there. If you think it’s a small world in Portland, it gets even smaller up the coast! It’s no surprise that these two have great style. Style tends to run in the blood of former New Yorkers, so I’m always glad to see when they smarten up and trade the big city for the way life should be. My one regret was not asking where her oversized buttery leather clutch was from. But don’t worry. The next time I’m at Union Hall, I’ll find her and ask.
