40 years later, the wrap dress is still going strong

What is it about the wrap dress? According to Diane Von Furstenberg, the designer of the iconic dress, it makes women feel like the best version of themselves.

Diane von Furstenberg Wrap Dress

The wrap dress makes the waist look tiny and flatters the hips. It creates curves. It’s timeless. It’s as comfortable as a t-shirt. When you slip it on, you’re instantly polished. It’s no wonder the style has thrived for over four decades.

If you’ve always been interested in taking the plunge and buying a DVF wrap dress, Helene M carries a selection. I’ve also spotted vintage ones at Encore. Try one on for size! But the most exciting way to score a wrap dress is to find a vintage one.

The retrospective is running in Los Angeles through April 1, so if any of you are escaping the cold for a west coast vacation, you can find out more about the exhibition here.
