If I gained a few pounds last week there was good reason for it. These were worthwhile, delicious calories, proving that Portland dining is universally divine and diverse.
Caiola’s: maple cream tart with sunchoke ice cream; local beet salad and grilled cabbage with smoked trout butter
Caiola’s: hominy and chorizo gratin
Champion breakfasts, the many faces of hash. Miss Portland Diner, red flannel hash; Marcy’s, ham steak with hash browns and poached eggs and Becky’s, corned beef hash and eggs
Clockwise: burger and fries, Little Tap House; buffet table, West End dinner party and smoked salmon, Back Bay Grill
Buttermilk breakfast biscuit with butter and raspberry jam, Tandem Bakery
