Results! Maine Madness Beer Tournament 2015: Round TWO

Written by: Dave Patterson

The first round of the Maine Madness Beer Tournament saw some close battles. One of the tightest races throughout the weekend was Rising Tide’s Daymark Ale versus Banded Horn’s Veridian IPA. In the end, Daymark came out on top by twenty votes. In another close match G-String Ale from Funky Bow edged Baby Genius from Bissell Brothers by twenty-two votes. And in the closest battle, SoMe’s Whoopie Pie Stout claimed victory over Marshall Wharf’s Pemaquid Oyster Stout by one vote. Yes, one vote.

In today’s Round of 32, there are some tough match-ups. The first round’s biggest vote getter, Dinner from Maine Beer Company (1,019 votes), will face last year’s runner up, Allagash Curieux. Also, look for a back and forth battle between Maine Beer Company’s Lunch and Foundation Brewing’s Epiphany as well.

Note: Voting for Round Two has closed. See the results below. (Check out the Round One results)
