Maine Madness Beer Tournament 2016: Round Five

Written by: Dave Patterson

Over 1,200 votes were cast in the Elite 8 and we have our 2016 Final Four matchup. This round is heavy on hops with three double IPAs; however, Allagash Curieux will represent the barrel-aged beers in the Final Four.

Maine Madness Beer Tournament Results: ROUND ONE and TWO and THREE and FOUR.

Epiphany from Foundation Brewing goes head-to-head with Allagash Curieux. Both of these beers have ardent fans so we expect a close race from start to finish.

In the second matchup Banded Horn’s Daikaiju DIPA goes up against Bissell Brothers’ Swish DIPA. It’s a clash of imperial IPA titans. Both beers are beautifully crafted and very worthy of making it this far in the tournament.

Voting ends at 8 p.m. on Friday evening.
