PMA hosts ballroom dancing during #ThirdThursPMA event this week

Written by: Wendy Almeida

5 p.m. Thursday, Portland Museum of Art, 7 Congress Square, $12 adults, $10 seniors and students, $6 youth ages 13 to 17, free for children under 12.

Dancing at the Portland Museum of Art doesn’t sound like a typical night at the museum, but thanks to the #ThirdThursPMA event, that’s exactly the opportunity you’ll have to spice up this snowy winter weather.

Aquarius Ballroom Dance Studios performers will be ballroom dancing to tunes from “Miss Saigon,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Cats” and other popular musicals.

Audience participation is encouraged – no special skills or attire required.

The monthly #ThirdThursPMA events, supported by the Contemporaries, run from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Regular admission fees apply.
