Guide to the East Bayside Block Party

Written by: Susan Axelrod

Portland’s newest and undeniably coolest ‘hood is throwing itself a party tomorrow — and you, yes YOU! are invited. From noon to 4 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 12, the East Bayside Block Party will showcase the businesses and organizations of what’s been dubbed y’East Bayside. Organizers are promising fun things to see and do — plus tasty things to eat and drink — for all ages.

Streets will be closed to cars, so walking or biking to the block party is strongly suggested. Expect food trucks, live music, much merriment and beer.

Here’s a rundown of the merchants and organizations who are participating, (including some who do not have an East Bayside location, so are not on the map). Get on down there and see for yourself what the fuss is all about.
