Aimsel Ponti is a Content Producer at MaineToday.com and a music writer for MaineToday.com and the Portland Press Herald. She has been obsessed with - and inspired by - music since she listened to Monkees records borrowed from the town library when she was six years old. She bought her first Rolling Stones record at a flea market when she was in 7th grade and discovered David Bowie a year later. A sure sign of summer’s return, the opening of Funtown in Saco on May 7

Yippee! Funtown USA Ride Park will open for its 50th season on Saturday, May 7 at 11 a.m. and  they’ll be open until 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday

The park will be offering discounted rates and all mothers are free ALL WEEKEND when accompanied by a paying guest or season pass holder.  Also, the first 100 moms to pass through the gates on both days will receive a vouchers to attend a Sea Dogs game!

Don’t forget to ride The Astrosphere where you’ll hear the classic ELO tune “Fire On High” which has been on repeat for decades!

Other attractions include the Excalibur wooden roller coaster, the Flying Trapeze, Dragon’s Descent and an old-school Tilt-A-Whirl.
