Tonight’s question (thank you Rich Brooks) was: “What’s your favorite hashtag?”
A gathering of users brought together via Twitter.
A monthly, formally organized Tweetup, Maine Tweetup (#metweetup), has been taking place in Portland for years. I haven’t written about a #metweetup since February so I was long overdue. The weather and the crowd last night were both gorgeous. Needless to say, I was very happy to be in attendance at the June #metweetup at Little Tap House. Although I did feel a bit homely mingling with all those beautiful people and competing with the sun streaming through the windows. The turnout was incredible and the amazing staff provided loads of delicious snacks. And, of course, there were drinks. Lots of drinks were consumed (fortunately not by me). With that said, everyone behaved themselves and it was a perfect evening.
I asked some questions, ate a bunch of free food, and got to feel very un-suave standing next to Rich Brooks for a while. More important, a huge thanks to Rich Brooks and Shawna Cohen of Flyte New Media @flytenewmedia for organizing these events on a monthly basis.
Another big thank you to Little Tap House and their phenomenal staff. You should go there. They have good food, a big bar with lots of lounge seating, and a great beer selection.
Hope to see you next month! Tweet. Tweet.
