Tonight's Season Finale of The Clash at Empire pits NKOTB against N*Sync

Oh the weather outside has been frightful, but at least all of the local shows are delightful this Wednesday evening! It’s time to put some long johns underneath your Party Pants and get ready to do it to it for tonight’s mid-week party! Here we go!

If you’re looking for some open mic action for your mid-week party, then head on down to Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge on Preble Street in Portland where you can check out local musicians do their thing acoustically or even sign up to play some tunes of your own. Every Wednesday starting right around 8, local singer-songwriter Dustin Saucier hosts this free and fun event.

Down at Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port you can check out another fun evening of folk tunes courtesy of local duo the Squid Jiggers. These fellas will be creating sounds that pair perfectly with an ice cold pint of beer, so swing on by and check them out if you’re in the downtown area tonight.

If you find yourself getting buck wild in the Seacoast area tonight be sure to head out to The Thirsty Moose Taphouse in Portsmouth right around 8pm  where experimental, borderline-psych-folk act B.A. Canning will be bringing the good times to the stage this evening.

Acoustic duo, Uke n’ Smile, will be hosting their monthly open mic night down at the Frog & Turtle on Main Street in Westbrook. Starting right around 8 o’clock all reasonably capable musicians are welcome to play some tunes during tonight’s event or attendees are also encouraged to come up and sing with the fellas in Uke n’ Smile as they play some backing music to sing along to. It’s free, and definitely fun so if you’re in the area tonight be sure to stop by and check it out.

Sam Shain and The Scolded Dogs will be bringing the Wednesday night party to the RiRa in Portland tonight with their original songs as well as everything from Snoop Dogg, Johnny Cash, Parliament and more. The good times start rollin’ around 8:30.

Rap Night at The Asylum is Portland is ready and rearing to cause a ruckus once again this week as they welcome showcases from local hip-hop acts Trails, Ryan Augustus and Mr. Harps this Wednesday evening. There’ll also be early and late night open mic cyphers hosted by Ill By Instinct and it’s free for the ladies and only 3 bucks for the fellas to get in to tonight’s party, which gets started right around 9 o’clock.

The Clash of the Titans celebrates its season finale at the Empire on Congress Street in Portland with one powerfully poppy battle of the boy bands as New Kids On The Block take on N*Sync this week. Starting at 9:30 check out members of Builder of the House, KGFREEZE, ShaShaSha, headstart and more take to the stage to do their best Joeys to Justin.
