The 90s strike back as The Deliberates pay tribute to Third Eye Blind tonight at The Big Easy

I’m hoping you all made Monday sad it ever came and that you’re willing to do even more of the same awesome ass kickin’ tonight because as usual there’s a ton of stuff to check out.  So hike up your Party Pants and get ready to soak up some sweet tunes this Tuesday evening. Let’s do it to it, my babies!

If you’re kicking around downtown this Tuesday evening, be sure to check out local folk-rocker Brian Patricks for an early show at Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street. Tonight Brian will be playing a handful of original tunes paired with classic songs that everyone knows and loves starting right around 6:30. It’s free, fun and will wrap up before your bedtime if you’re a big proponent of getting a good night’s sleep on a school night!

Professor Trouble returns to Drop It: Open Decks night at Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland this Tuesday. Professor Trouble will be laying down a proper set of Drum and Bass to get the evening started right around 9. As always, DJ sign up begins at 9 o’clock on a first come, first serve basis and all you gotta bring to sign up is some vinyl, CDs and headphones. All genres of music are welcome to this free event so get ready to get behind the decks and/or on the dance floor and check it out this evening!

Another freebie to check out is over at Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge as DJ Ponyfarm presents another fun-filled evening of karaoke. You can be your own rock star and show Slainte what’s up by belting out your favorite pop tuns right around 9 o’clock tonight.

Take in some tasty roots rock this Tuesday down at Gritty’s in the Old Port tonight where local music man Travis James Humphrey will be playing a solo set of tunes. Humphrey will be doing his thing from 9 to midnight. It’s free event with plenty of beer on hand so no excuses!

Portland rockers, The Deliberates team up with a few friends to bring Third Eye Blind’s seminal 1997 self-titled debut album to life this evening for this week’s installment of Cover to Cover down at the one and only Big Easy on Market Street in Portland. Tonight the fellas will unabashedly get their pop rock on as everyone is invited to relive these notorious songs of the 90s. Things get started right around 9 with an opening set of originals from local act, Spaniards, which features members of both The Deliberates and Vanityites.

It’s about that time for you to take in some tasty tuneage courtesy of experimental jazz act, Jaw Gems, down at Local 188 on Congress Street. Grab some pals and get ready to chill out to some smooth sounds and cool vibes as Jaw Gems get the music flowing freely right around 10 o’clock.
