Take in some toe-tapping Monday night tunes with North of Nashville at Empire Dine & Dance

Of course here we are at the beginning of yet another action-packed week and I’ve yet to recover from the weekend. Oh well, I’m not going to try and fight it, instead I’m just gonna roll with the punches and see what I shake out this Monday evening.  Here we go!

This evening local musician Tom Douglas invites you to join him down at Flatbread on Commercial Street in Portland where he’ll be serving up wood-fired acoustic goodness early this evening starting right around 6. Stop in after work for a beverage, a pie and some of your favorite cover tunes.

Up the street a tick from Flatbread, local rock n’ roller Frank McDaniel will be doing his solo, acoustic thing at Andy’s Old Port Pub beginning right around 6:30.

Check out some free bluegrass and country twang downstairs at Empire Dine and Dance in Portland where tonight North of Nashville continues their Monday night residency with some catchy originals and toe-tapping cover tunes! It’s free, fun, and and gets underway right around 8 o’clock, so stop on by and check it out.

Bring the funk and jam out with some of the local scene’s best players down at The Big Easy on Market Street in Portland as another edition of the one and only  Players Ball takes over the stage and brings the funk.  Every Monday night a handful of local cats come together to play not only as the house band for the event, but also as a band that will play tunes with audience members as well. All you gotta do is grab your instrument and hop on stage. It’s an event for musicians and music lovers alike, so check it out starting right around 9 tonight.
