Shannon Corey returns to Portland with a show at Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge

What up, Monday?! For all of you 9 to 5ers who are looking to blow off a little bit of Monday steam this evening, here’s what’s crackin’ all around town. Here we go!

Local folk-rocker, Brian Patricks will be playing a handful of original tunes paired with classic covers that pretty much everyone knows and loves down at Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street in Portland this Monday evening. Patricks begins his set right around 7 and will rock you on in to the 9 o’clock hour.

Down at Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge be sure to check out an early and awesome show with Yamaha artist Shannon Corey as she brings her piano-pop-folk sound back to Portland with Boston’s own Jared Salvatore. Local ladies Sorcha & Jo will get things started with a set of cello and guitar based roots/bluegrass tunes that also incorporate some sweet jazz-influenced harmonies. Be sure to check things out as the fun gets underway right around 7:30 this evening.

Over at RiRa on Commercial Street in Portland you’ll find the affable Evan Walsh hosting yet another edition of his open mic night that gets underway right around 8. EvGuy has instruments available for you to play and even if you can’t actually play an instrument, he’ll help you out by jamming out a version of a song for you to sing along to! Grab some pals, down some liquid courage, and check it out.

It’s time again to get your can on down to The Big Easy in Portland for another funky Monday at The Players Ball. Tonight you can jam out with The Players Ball’s house band, which features some super talented cats such as Adam Frederick, Max Cantlin, Dan Boyden, Chas Lester and more. Every Monday night these fellas come together to play tunes not only with each another, but also with anyone who shows up with an instrument. It’s a great time full of fun, creativity, and new, musical friends, so check it out starting right around 9 o’clock this Monday evening.
