Rockin' into the night with Mother Leopard, Murcielago and Station 85 at Empire Dine & Dance

Alright, I might have to part ways with these flannel jammies and take a nice hot Shame Shower, put my Party Pants back on get ready to do it to it as tonight marks the beginning of the biggest party week of the year!  We’ve only got so many days left of 2012, so we better do this thing in style. Here we go!

If you’re looking for some open mic action tonight, check out Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge on Preble Street in Portland where you can check out some up and coming musicians play live or even sign up to play some tunes of yourself. It’s free, hosted by local singer-songwriter Dustin Saucier, and gets underway right around 8 o’clock, so stop on by and check it out.

The Squid Jiggers return to the stage of Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port this evening with their own brand of folk music that’s infused with barley, sugar, years and hops, basically some good ol’ fashioned drinking music! Tonight the fellas get the good times rollin’ right around 8.

If you’re hanging out in the Bangor area this Wednesday evening make plans to head over to the Nocturnem Draft Haus where rock n’ roll duo When Particles Collide will be bringing their captivating, high-energy set to the stage starting at 8:30.

Tonight also marks a special 2 Days After The Night Before Christmas Show (yeah, mull that one over) at Empire Dine and Dance in Portland. This evening three phenomenal rock and/or roll acts come together to make your season merry, bright, and exceptionally loud. Starting at 9 you can check out super stoner rockers Murcielago, high energy RnR courtesy of Station 85, and funkified rock n’ soul from Mother Leopard. This should be a seriously entertaining evening so check it out if you’re bopping around this Wednesday evening.

I do believe there might still be a few tickets kicking around for this evening’s show with Rustic Overtones over at The Big Easy in Portland. Tonight the fellas perform their 1998 album, Rooms by the Hour in its entirety. Rooms is the band’s third studio album that garnered them major label attention and became an indefinite fan favorite. Tonight they’ll be performing all of the songs from the record live. Things get underway right around 9 o’clock with special guest Anna Lombard.
