Rock out for a great cause at Geno's in Portland tonight

Yes, here we are once again for another Thursday, the day of the week where you know you’ve almost made it! It’s a beautiful thing really and Thursdays generally never dissapoint when it comes to good tunes and good times. So throw on your Party Pants and get down on it this evening!

Steve Jones will be playing some tunes off of his latest album Listening during this evening’s show at The Liberal Cup in Hallowell. Jones blends everything from rockabilly, country, old-time rock and roll and more to create some especially well crafted tunes that’ll be sure to make your earholes happy. If you’re in the area this evening make sure you swing by, as the show starts right around 7 o’clock.

A full night of inventive folk mucis takes over Blue on Congress Street in Portland tonight. Beginning at 7 o’clock you can check out Wesley Allen Hartley, Sorcha and Henry Jamison of The Milkman’s Union as they trade songs and stories all evening long.

Portland’s own twisted rockabilly rockers and rollers Pete Witham & The Cozmik Zombies return to Empire Dine and Dance on Congress Street in Portland for their Thursday night residency with a high-energy show downstairs that fires up right around 7:30.

If you’re looking to shake what your momma gave ya all night long then look no further than Flask Lounge in Portland where the Blaqdada Dance Party, hosted by DJs Bary Juicy and Che Ross, commences right around 9. So swing on by if you’re looking to get down and shake those hips this Thirstday evening.

A rock show for a great cause rolls through Geno’s in Portland tonight as The Diapasyn, Jr. and The KBG team up for a night of tunes to benefit the Greater Portland Animal Refuge League. Things get cranking right around 9 o’clock.

Vinyl Tap is gearing up to bring the Thursday night thunder once again to Gritty’s in the Old Port this evening. These fellas are known for making people bust a move to their awesome and exceedingly danceable cover tunes that vary from Huey Lewis to Cee Lo Green, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder and everything in between. There’s never a cover charge and plenty of beer, so chck it out starting at 9:30 tonight.

Go on and get your 90s nostalgia on as Hello Newman prepares to party down at Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port tonight. Beginning at 9:30 the fellas will heat things up with everything from Sublime, Blink 182, Chumbawumba and more.

Pop-rockers Kilcollins play their regular thirsty Thursday night gig over at RiRa on Commercial Street in Portland tonight.  Beginning at 9:30, these fellas will be rockin’ and rollin’ to all the classic cover tunes you know and love, so check ‘em out.

Maybe you need to bust some moves and mellow your mind tonight, well good thing you can do just that right on over at The Big Easy in Portland for another fun night with Band Beyond Description. Far more than just your typical Grateful Dead cover band, these fellas will jam out on everything from the Allman Brothers, Phish, The Band and more. Anticipate good times, good people, and maybe even a few hula-hoops starting right around 9:30.

North of Nashville will be rocking their weekly gig over at Brian Boru right around 9:30pm and won’t stop the party until last call. Jay and Andrew bring their love all of all things twang to life this evening with a free show that’s always a ton of fun so check it out this thirsty Thursday.
