Phantom Buffalo celebrates the release of their latest album with a stellar party at SPACE Gallery

Holy Hannah Montana Miley Cyrus! Here we are, you guys, we’ve finally made it to that beautiful milestone known as Friday. We really did it this time and if you’re into doing like it’s never done before then here are some things going on all about town for you to do. Let the Fridaying begin!

The super talented fellas in The Ghost of Paul Revere will be getting things rollin’ right along this Frday up at Billy’s Tavern in Thomaston. If you’re into stringed instruments, soaring voices, harmonica, and foot stomping melodies then, make your way up to Thomaston for this killer show, which gets underway right around 8 o’clock tonight.

Oh me, oh my, I gotta make sure that I save a little stamina for tonight’s show at SPACE Gallery on Congress Street in Portland where local psych-folk-indie rock lovelies, Phantom Buffalo release their latest album, Tadaloora. Joining in the celebration will be Video Nasties and An Anderson. The party starts right around 8:30.

If you’re in the Westbrook area tonight and looking for good eats and tasty, tuneful treats, then get yourself over to The Frog & Turtle where Pete Witham & The Cozmik Zombies will be taking over with their own brand of twisted Americana/rockabilly.  Things get crankin’ right around 8 o’clock.

A free night of terrific tunes takes over Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge on Preble Street in Portland this Friday. Beginning at 9 o’clock you can check out an entirely free show featuring fine tunes from Gunther Brown alongside Clara Berry and Wooldog as well as Zach Zaitlin. Tons of acoustic, foot stomping goodness to fire up your Friday.

Flask Lounge in Portland hosts another edition of Foundation Friday tonight. Every second Friday of the month you can join the peeps at Flask for a free dance party featuring the finest underground dance music and slick video mixes around.  For this month’s edition, special guests Marcus Caine and Nicotine will be on hand to keep things going strong alongside resident DJ Mr. Dereloid. Things get fresh right around 9.

Doubting Gravity is ready to shake things out this evening on stage at The Big Easy in Portland. Andi Fawcett and the fellas will be bringing you the best original pop rock tunes around as well as throwing in a few classic covers here in there, so stop on by and check ‘em out as things get rollin’ right around 9:30.

Holy frickin’ rock show, Batman! Tonight Geno’s basically explodes as a handful of local acts join forces for a night of ferocious Friday night rocking and rolling. Starting at 9, check out Covered in Bees, Pinko and The Action Boys, The Rattlesnakes, and Tom Savage Explosion. Better bring some earplugs because things are going to get LOUD.

Portland party rockers Station 85 will be doing it to it over at RiRa on Commercial Street in Portland this Friday evening.  Beginning at 10, the fellas will kick out the jams that are sure to keep your booty shaking all night long.

If you’re north of Portland tonight, take in some new alternative rock at The Easy Street Lounge in Hallowell where the guys of The Band Apollo will be breaking things down starting right around 9:30.

Stereocom will be bringing the funk to Mainely Brews in Waterville this evening as they play a free set beginning at 9:30.  Stereocom will be providing the soul and funk grooves all night long to ensure your Saturday night will be full of dancing and fun.
