Pete Witham & the Cozmik Zombies rock the El Rayo patio in Portland tonight

I’m going to try my best to keep this weekend’s momentum rolling right on through today in hopes that’ll it make this Monday much more enjoyable. This tactic is often referred to as ‘denial’ and I’ll be certain to let you know how it all works out. In the meantime, here are the haps for tonight.

The ProfTones will be playing some great R&B, blues, jazz and rock n’ roll hits down at Portland Lobster Company on Commercial Street in Portland this Monday evening. The joint starts jumpin’ during tonight’s free show right around 6 o’clock.


Portland artist Sorcha will be performing a set of songs down at Flatbread on Commercial Street in Portland this Monday evening. Treat your tummy to some delicious pizza while Sorcha treats your ears to her eclectic blend of soul, rock, country, folk and everything in between starting right around 6.


If you’re anywhere near the Lewiston area this evening, drop by Pedro O’Hara’s as local pop-rocker Michael Krapovicky hosts another installment of his weekly acoustic open mic event. Tonight’s free shindig gets underway at 6:30 and is open to all, so grab an instrument and get ready to make some music and new friends!


Pete Witham & The Cozmik Zombies take over the El Rayo patio in Portland once again this Monday evening with their own brand of twisted Americana and rockabilly. These fellas always know how to have a good time, so be sure to check ‘em out as this evening’s free all ages show gets started at 7 o’clock.


Local original country and folk act Oble Varnum will be performing at Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street in the Old Port this Monday. Starting at 7 check out this spirited act as they play a mix of originals and classic country-western standards during tonight’s free show.


Even more open mic action to check out tonight will be happening down at the Kerrymen Pub in Saco. Starting at 7:30 full bands and solo acts are encouraged to take to the stage and showcase their musical abilities in front of a live audience. The event itself is a free, fun way to spend a Monday, so swing through if you’re in the area tonight.


Some seriously good times and good tunes will be had out on the Slab patio in Portland tonight as local artists Lyle Divinsky, Dominic Lavoie, Tony McNaboe and Adam Frederick come together for a night of free tuneage. Beginning at 8 o’clock make some plans to swing by and enjoy some delicious Sicilian style pizza as these fellas serve up some funky cover jams for your Monday night.


Check out some of the scene’s best bluegrass players and grab a slice of delicious Otto pizza at the restaurant’s lower Congress Street location in Portland as Joe Walsh and a handful of his friends serve up some tasty tunes for your Monday evening. The good times start rolling along right around 8 o’clock.


Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland will help you put Monday in its place with a night chock full of head banging hardcore metal courtesy of We The Machine, Seedborn and Secrecy Unspoken.Things get cranked up to about eleven starting right around 9 at tonight’s free show, so stop by and things it out!
