Old Soul and Clara Berry swarm The Hive in Kennebunk tonight

Rabbit, Rabbit! It’s the first Friday of November and there’s a ton of ways to tear it up tonight! If you’re looking for some live, local music to bust a move or two to I’ve got ya covered. Here are the haps for your finally Friday evening. Boom!

The State Theatre in Portland welcomes Frank Zappa’s eldest song, Dweezil to the stage for an evening of Zappa plays Zappa. Starting at 8 you can check out Dweezil and his finely assembled band cover the original compositions of his late father.

Shanna Underwood and Wanderlost will be bringing some fine Americana music to the stage of Elements: Books Coffee Beer in Biddeford this Friday evening. Starting at 8 Underwood joins forces with Devon Colella on cello, Drew Wyman on bass, and Greg Bjork on mandolin for some stellar musical sounds.

A full evening of folk songs will fill up this Friday’s soundtrack down at The Hive in Kennebunk as Clara Berry and Old Soul team up for a night of music. Starting at 8 swing through and check out some great acoustic sounds courtesy of these two stellar acts.

Over at The Dogfish Bar & Grille on Free Street in Portland The Waiters will be serving up some quality tunes for you to ease into the freakin’ weekend with. The Waiters will be dishing out all of your favorite cover tunes starting right around 8.

The Coney Island Rock n’ Roll Roadshow makes a stop in Portland tonight as it rolls on into Mathew’s on Free Street with live music from Thee Icepicks, The Jesse Ray Carter Combo, The Murder Weapon, Kamikaze Angel, and Fates Last Fight. There will also be a burlesque performance from Holly Danger and DJ E-Bomb will be spinning the best rock n’ roll, psychabilly and punk in between bands. Get ready to party as things get underway right around 8 o’clock.

The Poprocks are ready to party this Friday night with a rockin’ gig down at the Irish Twins Pub in Lewiston. Starting at 8 o’clock check these fun lovin’ fellas out as they bounce around from decade to decade covering everything from pop, rock, country and everything in between.

High-grade reggae fusion will be cruising down to Portsmouth, NH tonight as Roots, Rhythm & Dub play The Blue Mermaid. Starting at 8 these fellas will be taking the stage to make you dance, so check it out if you’re hanging around the area this evening.

Indie roots rockers, Bronze Radio Return take the stage of Port City Music Hall in Portland this evening to bring their lush harmonies and soulful vocals mixed with blues and modern guitar tones to life. Opening tonight’s show will be local pop-rocker Spencer and his League of Bandsmen who’ll get things crankin’ right around 8 o’clock.

The fellas of North of Nashville head up to Rangeley this evening for gig over at Moose Alley. Starting at 9 o’clock the duo will be providing catchy originals as well as toe-tapping covers of all of the best country twang your little heart could desire.

If you’re south of Portland tonight and in dire need of some high-energy rock n’ roll then luck no further than Fury’s Publick House in Dover, NH where Seacoast rock act Red Sky Mary will be blasting off into the rock n’ roll stratosphere right 9 o’clock this Friday evening.

Fridays are generally a great time to shake what your mama gave ya, so you might as well do just that tonight by getting down to Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland where DJ Jamie O’Sullivan will be hosting his monthly LOVE event. LOVE will feature O’Sullivan and special guests Kid Ray and A Dude Named Ray bringing you the best house, techno and disco to shake your can to. You can check out this free event starting right around 9.

The Dover Brickhouse is ready to rumble with Portland rockers Paranoid Social Club as they rock the stage alongside opening act the Christa Renee Band. Things are going to get loud, awesome, and possibly weird starting right around 9.

Things get funky down at Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port tonight with Shut Down Brown who promise to keep you dancing the night away with their blends of progressive-rock, funk, and soul upstairs starting at 9:30. Downstairs be sure to check out some acoustic pop gems from Jacob McCurdy who also starts playing songs right around 9:30. There’s no cover charge for either of these awesome events, so stop by and check things out!

Classic Cuban music makers, Primo Cubano, will be celebrating the Day of the Dead with a show upstairs at Empire on Congress Street in Portland. Tonight’s show is guaranteed to be a good time with some lively Cuban music, so stop by as things heat up around 10.

KGFREEZE frontman, Kyle Gervais will be donning his DJ hat this evening as his spins tunes over at Sonny’s in the Old Port. Starting at 10 o’clock pair a tasty beverage with some tasty tunes as KG plays stuff you love and stuff you didn’t know you loved.
