There’s no better way to celebrate making it through another Monday than by getting out and having some fun! Here’s what’s up for things to see and do this evening.
Pedro O’Hara’s in Lewiston presents another full band open mic night this Monday with host Michael Krapovicky. Starting at 6:30, solo acts, duos, poets, comedians and all entertainers in between are welcome to take to the stage and show off their stuff during this free and fun event. A local, talented drummer as well as a drum kit and a PA, bass amp and guitar amp will be available and ready to use for anyone who signs up. Things’ll get started with some imaginative prog-rock tunes from this week’s featured act, Dreadnaught.
Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street in downtown Portland welcomes lovely local songstress Monique Barrett to their stage to perform some acoustic songs this Monday. Join Monique for an evening featuring her inspiring and soulful original folk songs as things get underway during tonight’s free, all ages performance right around 6:30.
If you’re looking for some open mic action in Southern Maine tonight you can check the Kerrymen Pub in Saco where starting at 7:30 full bands and solo acts are encouraged to take to the stage and showcase their musical abilities at this free and fun event.
Make your way down to Otto’s lower Congress Street location and dispel any bad Monday vibes with some bluegrass and pizza. Local bluegrass musician Joe Walsh will be joined by a few of his friends for a Monday evening chock full of musical merriment Tap your toes and have some fu as this free show starts up at 8pm.
Work it out on the dance floor at Flask Lounge in Portland with DJs OldNight, Zimbra and Doomsday J. The trio will be spinning some post-punk, synth-pop, New Wave and much more as tonight’s free dance party gets bumping right around 9 o’clock.
