Happy Monday! Writing this blog has been the first productive thing I have done all day other than consuming some bacon earlier this morning, and it’ll probably continue to be the most productive thing I do, and I’m totally okay with that. If you’re looking to get your lazy bones out on the town this evening, here are some places to check out.
I am uncertain if all of this rain will postpone events at the Portland Lobster Company on Commercial Street, so I would suggest checking ahead before you make your way downtown around 6 o’clock tonight to check out local pop-rockers, the Pete Kilpatrick Band as they do their thing out on the patio this Monday evening.
If you’re up in the Naples region this Labor Day, check out some good times, good tunes, and good people over at Bray’s Brew Pub where local rocker and member of The Grumps, Ryan Halliburton will be teaming up with some of his talented friends to play some upbeat rockers starting right 7 o’clock.
Maybe you’re a little burgered out from the holiday weekend and could use some good ‘za and good tunes. If that’s the case then make your way over to Otto on Congress Street where local bluegrass super star, Joe Walsh and a posse of his talented friends will be providing a mighty fine soundtrack for your Labor Day evening starting right around 8.
Well since I’ve spent most of my day as a sloth, I think the only reasonable thing I can do this evening is head on down to The Big Easy in Portland where I plan on dancing it out to some quality funk and soul tunes courtesy of the one and only Model Airplane. Lyle and the gang are ready to make you bust a move all evening long as the final Funky Monday with Model Airplane takes off. Don’t snooze on your last chance to participate in one of the most epic Monday night dance parties around. Shine up your dancing shoes, throw on your Party Pants and get ready to do it to it as the music hits right around 9 o’clock tonight.
There’s some more non-stop dance action for ya down at Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge on Preble Street in Portland where local comedian, Connor McGrath, throws on his DJ hat to spin some of the greatest jams from the 90s. Tonight’s party is absolutely free and gets underway right around 10 o’clock, so stop by and bust a move or a two with your good pal ConnMan.
