Guitarist, singer, songwriter and all around nice guy, Dave Jacquet will be hosting another free open mic night at Cole Farms in Gray this Wednesday evening. Beginning at 7, any and all musicians are welcome to join in on the fun and make some music up on stage with Dave and a few of his friends as they share songs and stories all evening long.

The Frog and Turtle on Main Street in Westbrook welcomes back local blues man Ron Gill for another blues-based open mic night. This free event gets started at 8 o’clock and is open to all musicians, so be sure to swing through if you’re in the area this Wednesday evening.

Awesome organ-based trio Micromasse will be playing live in the lounge of Frontier in Brunswick as part of the venue’s free Wednesday night music series. Check out the melodic and mesmerizing sounds of Chris Sweet, Max Cantlin and Pete Dugas as the trio combines guitar, drums and organ to pump out some superior instrumental jams beginning at 8 o’clock.

There’s never, ever a cover charge and also never, ever a shortage of cold beer, so make some moves and check these fellas out this evening.

Vocalist Colleen Clark will be accompanied by pianist Kyle Friday this evening as the duo bring you some lounge-style awesome at MJ’s Wine Bar in Portland. Settle in and enjoy a variety of jazz standards, some Etta James tunes and even a little Fiona Apple as this free show gets underway at 8 o’clock tonight.

Rap Night at The Asylum in Portland will be highlighting some local hip-hop with another installment of their midweek party hosted by ill by instinct and El Shupacabra. Each and every Wednesday night these dudes team up to host this epic rap ruckus that features some of the best and brightest emcees, producers and DJs around. Things get started at 9 with early and late night open mic cyphers, and as always, ladies get in free, so stop through and check it out!

Lots of beautiful music and soaring vocal harmonies to take in this week up at the Clash of the Titans at Empire in Portland as two wildly influential duos go song for song this evening.
