This Monday evening you’ll find Mike Krapovicky of local rock act The Grumps hosting another free open mic night up at Pedro O’Hara’s in Lewiston. Grab an instrument and get ready to play some tunes starting right around 6:30.
Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street in Portland welcomes up and coming singer-songwriter, Isaiah Bennett to the stage this evening with a set that will showcase his unique blend of acoustic pop and funk. Things get underway right around 7 tonight, so stop on by and check it out if you’re in the area and looking for something fun and free to do!
You can also take in some quality, local bluegrass and grab a slice of some of the best pizza in town at Otto on Congress Street in Portland where local picker Joe Walsh and a handful of his friends will be providing a mighty fine Monday soundtrack for ya starting right around 8 o’clock this evening.
Down at RiRa on Commercial in Portland, Evan Walsh will be hosting yet another edition of what he calls an adult talent show, or more commonly, and open mic night that starts right around 8 o’clock. EvGuy has instruments available for you to play around on and if you can’t actually play anything, then he’ll help you out by jamming a version of a song for you to sing! Grab some pals, down some liquid courage (booze), and check it out.
Guitarist Gary Wittner will be celebrating the release of his new album Did I Say That Out Loud? with a party up at Slates Restaurant in Hallowell this Monday evening. Gary has been performing for over 30 years on 5 different continents worldwide. Tonight he’ll take to the stage at around 8:15 to recreate songs from the new record live.
Another free event to check out tonight is happening down at Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge on Preble Street in Portland where DJ Spencer will be busting out all of the greatest 90s dance jams for you to shake your can to. Tonight’s party gets underway right around 10.
