Help keep Maine warm by checking out tonight's show featuring Amy Allen, Keelan Donovan and Eli Noll at One Longfellow Square

Christmas may have come and gone, but the merry bells keep ringing all around our snowy state this evening. If you’re looking to brave the storm and take in some tunes, here’s where to go. Check it out!

South of Portland this evening is a fantastic show at The Run of the Mill in Saco, Maine featuring a solo show from folk artist Jacob Augustine. Beginning at 8 o’clock you can check out a set of emotional, experimental, and unparalleled tunes from Augustine all for free. So if you’re in the area, swing on by, grab a pint, and enjoy the show.

One of my favorite local acts The Ghost of Paul Revere will be getting things rollin’ over at Dogfish Bar & Grille on Free Street in Portland right around 8 o’clock this evening.  If you’re into awesome stringed tunes, soaring voices, and foot stomping melodies, then be sure to make your way to Dogfish for tonight’s free show.

A great show for a great cause will be taking place at One Longfellow Square in Portland tonight where three talented and local singer-songwriters will take to the stage in support of Keep Maine Warm. The Keep Maine Warm Fun is a statewide partnership with the goal of helping Maine people stay safe, warm and secure this winter through public and private contributions, volunteerism and advocacy. Tonight Keelan Donovan, Amy Allen and Eli Noll team up to raise funds and awareness through music. You can check out some great tunes

Thursdays generally mean that it’s time to shake what your momma gave ya and tonight you can do just that all night long over at Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland where another Blaq Dada Dance Party commences right around 9 o’clock. Hosted by DJs Bary Juicy and Che Ross, tonight’s event will also feature special guest from Toronto Mirabel, so swing on by if you’re looking to get down and shake those hips this thirsty Thursday evening.

Geno’s Rock Club in Portland invites one and all in for a full night of alternative rockin’ and rollin’ with a show featuring local act Joint Collision with special guests Low 90 and Danger I Reckon. Things get crankin’ right around 9 o’clock tonight, so check it out.

Looking to shake off that holiday hangover tonight? Then get your tush on over to Empire Dine and Dance on Congress Street in Portland where Portland’s longest running ska band, El Grande will be playing this evening. Also filling out this evening’s bill are local reggae all stars, The Pressure Points. Tonight should be chock-full of original ska and reggae music, which will get underway, upstairs tonight right around 9pm.

Local hip-hopper Spose is gearing up for his last hometown show of 2012 tonight over at The Big Easy in Portland. Starting at 9, Spizzy and his crew celebrate the end of their tour with a homecoming show that’ll feature Educated Advocates, Cam Groves, and the lovely Kristina Kentigian on vocals. It’s sure to be one heck of a party, so be sure to check it out.

Local bluesmen Samuel James and Dana Gross team up to bring you a night of tunes over at Blue on Congress Street in Portland. Starting at 10 o’clock these talented fellas will be singing some tunes and plucking some guitar strings to help you thoroughly enjoy your Thursday evening, so check it out.

If you’re looking to grab a cocktail and take in some experimental jazz then mosey on down to Sonny’s in the Old Port this evening where Jaw Gems will be doing their thing from 10 o’clock until closing time.
