Local musicians Dana Pearson and Monica Grabin will be joining together to create some sounds with their act First Person Plural at Elements on Main Street in Biddeford. Starting at 7 o’clock witness this talented pair play originals and covers of folk, blues, country and pop featuring guitar, bass, ukulele, harmonica, banjo, and of course, some sweet vocals.
One of my favorite dudes, Mr. Kris “Fingers” Rodgers is playing a show in support of his brand new record at the Freeport Theater of Awesome tonight. Join Fingers as he celebrates the new music available on his latest endeavor, “Whiskey & Soda” with an awesome, intimate show. Expect to hear lots and lots of awesome piano-driven rockers from Kris this Friday. Be sure to get there early to check out and opening set from special guest Sam Chase who’ll get things started right around 7 o’clock.
North of Nashville will be rocking up at The Rack at Sugarloaf starting right around 7:30 tonight. Expect lots of pickin’, guitar slingin’, singin’ and boot stompin’ for your finally Friday night as Jay and Andrew bring their love all of all things twang and country to life on stage all evening long.
An enormous evening of hip hop will be taking over The Asylum in Portland tonight as they welcome Boston emcee Slaine to the stage. Things get bumpin’ right around 8 o’clock with a slew of special guests including Rite Hook and Moroney, Trails, Ryan Augustus, Northern Lights Nation, John Haze, Frontline and music from DJ 2 Phat. Anticipate a lot of rhymes, beats and even a couple of surprises tonight, check it out.
If you’re looking to get down to some Drum & Bass action, head over to Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland where The Digital Mercenaries will be delivering sounds that are sure to make you shake your hips all night long. Tonight’s event starts at 9 o’clock and is absolutely free, so check it out!
Two shows to check it out in one convenient location tonight. Starting at 8 head out to the Big Easy Lounge & Cafe in Bangor to check out the John Nowak Quartet as they play some jazz favorites, followed by a set from local singer-songwriter and guitarist Riff Johnson who’ll be playing from 9 to midnight.
The Larks are bringing their unique brand of country, disco, new wave and punk (yup, a little bit of everything for everyone!) to the Second Wind Tapas Bar & Lounge in Southwest Harbor tonight. 8 o’clock marks the kick off of tonight’s party, so check it out if you’re in the area and looking to get down!
Check out Jazz Friday over at the Dogfish Bar & Grille on Free Street in Portland with the very talented cats of LQH (Chas Lester, Tyler Quist, and Evan Haines) as they bring their melting pot of sound that touches on everything from soul to jazz to funk to rock over to The Dogfish starting at 8 tonight.
The Hive in Kennebunk invites you in for an evening of stringed instruments, good tunes, good times, and tons of toe tapping as they welcome the Jerks of Grass to the stage right around 8 o’clock. The local act will be providing a stellar soundtrack chock full of terrific bluegrass for your finally Friday.

If you find yourself up in Hallowell tonight be sure to stop by Easy Street Lounge as The Whitefields take to the stage right around 9 for a free show. Best described as a folk, funk and rock venture, the local act is known for its strong vocal harmonies.
A big night full of some gigantically talented local hip-hop artists will be taking over Geno’s on Congress Street in Portland as Alyssa Marie, Shane Reis, Ock Cousteau and Milez Grimez join up to properly party this Friday. Things get underway at 9 o’clock.

The super dudes of Kilcollins bring their rock and roll party upstairs to Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port tonight for a free show. Starting at 9:30 the boys will be playing covers of tunes that everyone knows, loves, and can shake a tail feather to.
