Forget, Forget & Friendly People team up for a night of indie rock at The Big Easy

I definitely showed Monday no mercy and I feel pretty damn good about that. I also feel like I definitely have a thing or two to show Tuesday, so I’m going to do just that and I invite you all to join me. Let’s give this Tuesday the one-two punch! Boom!

Down at Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street in the Old Port, The Grumps’ bassist, Mike Krapovicky goes solo with a set of acoustic tune tonight. Check out this free show, which gets started right around 6:30.

The Big Easy in Portland gears up for a night of incredible indie rock as Forget, Forget and friends perform the experimental indie pop classic, In The Aeroplane Over the Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel for this week’s Cover to Cover. The night will begin at 9 o’clock with an original set of tunes courtesy of Forget, Forget as well as special guests from Cambridge, MA, Friendly People. It’s going to be a night filled to the brim with terrific tuneage, so arrive early and stay late!

A very special night of music will be taking over Billy’s Tavern in Thomaston this Tuesday as Rhode Island’s brown bird will take the stage in promotion of the new album, Fits of Reason. The Americana/blues act will get things started right around 9 o’clock tonight.

Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland is ready to party tonight with another edition of Drop It: Open Decks Night. Tonight’s Open Decks if going to be a doozie as DJ Elusid will open up the night with a house set to demo Traktor using vinyl control. A solid line up of Traktor DJs will follow right around 10pm. Tonight’s event, as always, is absolutely free, so drop on by and check it out.

Tuesdays signal that it’s time again for some tasty tuneage courtesy of experimental jazz act, Jaw Gems, down at Local 188 on Congress Street in Portland. Grab some friends and chill out to some awesome sounds and cool vibes starting at 10pm.
