Hallowell Does The Last Waltz: The Second Show happens tonight as a handful of talented Maine musicians are set to pay tribute to The Band’s last show, which occurred on Thanksgiving Day in 1976 and featured a plethora of special guests including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and Van Morrison to name a few. Tonight Robby Coffin, Bob Colwell, Pat Colwell, Katie Daggett, Dickie Hollis, Justin Maxwell, Tim Sullivan, Steve Vellani, Dave Wakefield many other special guests aim to recreate the magic of 37 years ago at tonight’s special show at Slates in Hallowell. Matt Kona, a regular on the Boston comedy scene, will close out the evening with his dark sense of humor that pokes fun at topics from the mundane to the taboo with equal amounts of sharpness.
