Flogging Molly and special guests The Mighty Stef and Pasadena rock The State Theatre tonight

It’s time to get back to it this Monday. If you’re looking to get out there and check out some tunes, here are some sweet spots to hit this evening!

If you’re anywhere near the Lewiston area this evening, drop by Pedro O’Hara’s as local pop-rock musician Michael Krapovicky hosts another installment of his weekly acoustic open mic event. Tonight’s free shindig gets underway at 6:30 and is open to any and all musicians looking to showcase their original material amongst friends, fellow music-lovers and local artists alike.


Mondays aren’t lame if you choose to end them with some delicious pizza and tasty tunes. Get a double dose of both at Slab on Preble Street in Portland tonight as DJs Mosart212 and El Shupacabra spin some of the best old school hip-hop, soul, jazz, Motown, and R&B during tonight’s free party. Things get shaking at 7pm.


If you’re hoping to check out some open mic action south of Portland tonight, head out to the Kerrymen Pub in Saco where starting at 7:30 full bands and solo acts are encouraged to take to the stage and spotlight their musical abilities in front of a live audience. The event itself is free, fun, and a great way to spend a Monday, so swing through if you’re in southern Maine tonight.


Hallowell Does The Last Waltz: The Second Show happens tonight as a handful of talented Maine musicians are set to pay tribute to The Band’s last show, which occurred on Thanksgiving Day in 1976 and featured a plethora of special guests including Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and Van Morrison to name a few. Tonight Robby Coffin, Bob Colwell, Pat Colwell, Katie Daggett, Dickie Hollis, Justin Maxwell, Tim Sullivan, Steve Vellani, Dave Wakefield many other special guests aim to recreate the magic of 37 years ago at tonight’s special show at Slates in Hallowell. Things get underway right around 8:15, so if you are in the area, be sure to check it out.


Liven up your Monday with some bustling bluegrass at Otto’s lower Congress Street location as Joe Walsh and a few of his friends will be teaming up for a fun night of free music. Grab a delicious slice of pizza and enjoy some great local tunes as this event gets started right at 8.


Flogging Molly will be hitting the stage of the State Theatre in Portland tonight with their punk-rock laden Irish jams alongside special guests The Mighty Stef and The Pasadena Band. Things get lively during tonight’s all-ages event starting right around 8 o’clock.

Fun Longfellow returns to One Longfellow Square in Portland this Monday evening with a lineup of some of the funniest people in Portland and beyond. Hosted by Will Green, local comics Sam Pelletier, Krister Rollins, and Stephanie Doyle will be joined by musical comedian Aharon Willows-Hebert. Matt Kona, a regular on the Boston comedy scene, will close out the evening with his dark sense of humor that pokes fun at topics from the mundane to the taboo with equal amounts of sharpness. Tonight’s laugh riot gets rolling right around 9.
