I hope you showed Monday no mercy and are ready to throw down this Tuesday as there’s a bunch of great things going down all around this evening, so get out there and check it out!

Local blues act Poke Chop and the Other White Meats will be hosting a Tuesday night blues jam at The Big Easy in Portland. If you’re a musician, drop by to play; if you’re a blues lover, stop in to listen, dance and hang out and hear some of the best blues around without ever having to pay a cover charge. Let the good times roll starting at 7 o’clock!

Get down to The Thirsty Pig on Exchange Street in the Old Port for another installment of their weekly open mic, which is appropriately named The Exchange, that gets underway at 7. Tonight’s event is open to any and all musicians who are looking to showcase, workshop and even collaborate on their own original material in front of an audience of peers and music lovers alike. All genres, ages and musical abilities are welcome to join in this evening, so swing through and check things out.

Take in some high-energy rockabilly this Tuesday evening courtesy of Ragged Jack at Fast Breaks in Lewiston. The local act will be rockin’ your night away starting at 7.

An open mic night specifically tailored to DJs happens once again down at Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland. Tonight’s event allows beginner DJs to take a chance and get up on the tables alongside local veterans who’ll show ‘em the ropes. All you need to bring to participate are your records, CDs and controller. All formats of music are welcome as this free event gets underway at 9.

Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge on Preble Street in Portland hosts yet another fun-filled Tuesday of karaoke courtesy of DJ Ponyfarm. If you’re looking to sing along to all of your favorite 90s jams, stop on by and do just that beginning at 9 o’clock.

If you’re looking for a mellow hang this Tuesday then head down to Local 188 in Portland to chill with the fellas of Jaw Gems who’ll be bringing their unique brand of experimental jazz to life starting at 10.
