Chill out with Jaw Gems at Local 188 tonight

So here we are, it’s Tuesday, we made it out of Monday alive, in the words of Creedence Clearwater Revival: we gotta keep on chooglin’. So strap on your rage shoes, hike up your party pants, and choogle away, my babies. Let’s Tuesday!

The Thirsty Pig in the Old Port is back at it for another edition of its weekly open mic event known as The Exchange. Tonight’s gathering is for all musicians looking to collaborate, showcase, and workshop their own original music in front of an audience. All ages, genres and musical capabilities are welcome to join in on this evening’s fun, so be sure to stop by and check things out as the music starts right around 7.

Maine-made blues man and talented troubadour D. Gross will take to the stage of Blue on Congress Street in Portland. Starting at 8 o’clock, join this supreme songsmith for some tunes and stories at tonight’s free show.

Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge on Preble Street in Portland presents another fun-filled Tuesday of karaoke courtesy of DJ Ponyfarm.  If you’re looking to belt out all of your favorite 90s jams, then stop on by and do just that starting at 9.

Flask Lounge in Portland is ready for another open mic night for DJs tonight. This event allows up-and-coming record spinners to take a chance and get up on the tables alongside veteran DJs. All you need to bring to participate are your records, CDs and controller. All formats of music are welcome as the fun gets starting right around 9.

Take some time to chill and mellow your mind tonight with some experimental jazz courtesy of Jaw Gems down at Local 188 on Congress Street in Portland. The dudes will be doing their thing from 10 o’clock until closing time.
