Check out Christian Cuff tonight at Blue in Portland

All right! It’s Tuesday, which means we made it out of Monday alive (although I suspect some of you might’ve had it off from work), and in the words of Creedence Clearwater Revival, we gotta keep on chooglin’. I don’t know why I love referencing CCR and chooglin’ so much, but it works, so I’m gonna stick with it! Strap on your rage shoes, hike up your party pants, and choogle away this Tuesday, my babies.

If you’re lucky enough to be on February Vacation and find yourself hitting the slopes up at Sunday River then be sure to swing through the Matterhorn Ski Bar right around Happy Hour to check out local singer-songwriter Jordan Kaulback do his thing. This 5 o’clock gig is free and fun, so check it out if you’re hanging around the River this Tuesday evening.

If you’re hanging out in downtown Portland this evening, be sure to head over to Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street where local musician Paddy Mills will be performing. Paddy Mills is an award winning folk singer/songwriter whose songs are as salty as the Maine coast he calls home. Tonight’s free show gets started right around 6.

Local bluegrass duo Darlin’ Corey will be warming things up at The Rack up at Sugarloaf this evening. Starting at 6 check out the act’s delightful blend of vocal harmonies accompanied by fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitars, a unique version of bluegrass, old time, folk and original songs.

Be sure to check out some high-energy rockabilly courtesy of Ragged Jack at Fast Breaks in Lewiston tonight. This local act will be rockin’ your Tuesday beginning at 7 o’clock.

The Thirsty Pig in the Old Port invites one and all to its weekly open mic event known as The Exchange. Tonight’s gathering is for all musicians looking to perform their original music in front of an audience. All ages, genres and musical abilities are welcome to join in on this evening’s fun, so be sure to stop by and check things out as the music starts at 7.

Blue on Congress Street in Portland welcomes local singer-songwriter Christian Cuff to the stage this evening for a show filled with songs and stories. Tonight Christian performs a solo set of tunes, which gets underway right around 8, followed by an open acoustic jam, which is welcome to any and all musicians, right around 9 o’clock.

Slainte Wine Bar & Lounge on Preble Street in Portland is all geared up and ready to go with another Tuesday of karaoke courtesy of DJ Ponyfarm.  If you’re looking to belt out all of your favorite 90s jams, then stop on by and do just that as the party starts at 9 o’clock tonight.

Another place to show off your musical prowess is at Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port tonight where local musician Jacob McCurdy will be hosting an open mic night. If you’re a musician looking to play out at local venues, you should sign up and show off your skills as you could actually land yourself a paying gig at Bull Feeney’s if you’ve got the right stuff, baby! Tonight’s open mic gets started at 9:30 and is absolutely free, so get up there and strut your stuff!

Take some time to take in some tunes this Tuesday evening as you chill out to some experimental jazz with Jaw Gems at Local 188 on Congress Street in Portland. The fellas will be laying down some smooth sounds starting at 10.
