Check out Carbon Leaf & Tall Heights at Port City Music Hall tonight

There’s a whole lotta awesome going on this Thursday evening, so let’s jump right in and see what’s shaking, shall we? Here we go, my babies!

Get your Thursday evening started at Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street in downtown Portland where local Americana and blues artists Frank Fotusky will be playing a free show starting up right around 7 o’clock.


Check out local act The Band Apollo as they play a free show at the Run of the Mill in Saco this evening. Starting at 8 these fellas will be serving up some sweet alt-pop-rock sounds for your Thirsty Thursday.


Carbon Vapor Productions and The Asylum in Portland are teaming up to bring you a genuinely eclectic night of music this Thursday as NYC sci-fi, Middle Eastern, progressive, psychedelic jam band (try saying that ten times fast) Consider The Source and Brooklyn dub jazz act Elephant Wrecking Ball will be taking to the stage alongside special guest, local singer-songwriter Jordan Kaulback as things get underway right around 8 o’clock.


Carbon Leaf brings their alt-country, Celtic and folk-infused indie rock to the stage of Port City Music Hall in Portland this Thursday. Tonight’s 18+ event gets started at 8 with an opening set from Boston folk duo Tall Heights.


Check out tonight’s guitar workshop with local virtuoso Mike Arciero at Blue on Congress Street in Portland. This monthly series features Arciero with a different guest musician focusing on a different style of music. This evening he welcomes Ryan Flaherty of Muddy Ruckus to the stage to discuss the elements and style of gypsy jazz. Tonight’s event will also feature some of the flavor of a workshop or master class, as well as these two talented guys jamming and showing each other new licks and tricks on the guit-fiddle. A must for any lover of stringed things, this workshop gets underway at 9pm.


Sonny’s in the Old Port welcomes back musical duo Humperdinck Humperdink and Glass Joe (aka Corey Gagne and Pete Dugas) to the lounge tonight as the pair gets ready to serve up some swanky old school tunes. These guys have been known to blend equal parts Bowie with Radiohead for a sound…and style…that is truly all their own. Check ‘em out as tonight’s free shindig gets swinging right around 9 o’clock.


Local pop-rockers, Kilcollins are back on the stage of RiRa tonight as they get the party started with their party mix of original jams and awesome cover tunes starting right around 9 o’clock.


Royal Hammer will be raging some reggae for your Thirsty Thursday upstairs at Brian Boru in the Old Port. Starting at 9:30 the Hammer will be throwing down and making some noises during tonight’s free rager.


The Bramhall on Congress Street in Portland is ready for some of the best local bluegrass around as Jerks of Grass return for their weekly Thursday night show. The Jerks will be kicking out some toe-tapping tunes starting right around 9:30.


The Dapper Gents are back at Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port to serve up some awesome folk-pop and rock originals and covers tonight. This free Thursday night dance party gets rockin’ at 9:30.


Local pop-rockers Sparks The Rescue will be rockin’ upstairs at Oasis in the Old Port. The dudes will be kickin’ out a mix of originals and fun covers for your Thirsty Thursday as tonight’s free show gets underway right around 10 o’clock.


The fun fellas of local cover act, Vinyl Tap will be back at it tonight as they play a plethora of songs that are certain to get you shaking your can out on the dance floor. Anticipate everything from Huey Lewis, Elton John, The Beatles and more during tonight’s free show at Gritty’s in the Old Port. The party starts at 10pm.
