Check out The Exchange at The Thirsty Pig tonight

Another Tuesday is upon us and we should all sort of be back into the swing of things. Even though the week has just begun, it’s never too early to lace up your rage shoes and pour yourself back into those Party Pants because tonight is ready to work it on out.

Get down to The Thirsty Pig on Exchange Street in the Old Port for another edition of their weekly open mic night, which is appropriately named The Exchange. Tonight’s event started right around 8 and is open to any and all musicians who are looking to showcase, workshop and even collaborate on their own original material in front of an audience of fellow musicians and music lovers. All genres, ages and musical abilities are welcome to join in on the fun at this free event.

San Francisco-based acoustic guitarist Craig Ventresco will be performing live at Blue on Congress Street in Portland this Tuesday evening. Ventresco will be playing everything from vaudeville and early 20th Century pop tunes at this free show, which gets underway at 9 o’clock.

Bull Feeney’s acoustic open mic night continues local musician and lead vocalist of the Dapper Gents, Jacob McCurdy. Jacob will be playing and emceeing at this free event that gets geared up right around 9:30. Jacob invites everyone on to the stage to show off their musical talents and if you’ve really got some skills, you might even find yourself with a paying gig at Bull Feeney’s. So grab an instrument and get ready to show off your musical prowess this Tuesday night.

Tuesday means it’s time for some tasty jams courtesy of experimental jazz act, Jaw Gems, down at Local 188 on Congress Street in Portland. Grab some friends and chill out to some awesome sounds beginning right around 10. Tonight’s show is free, fun and all the cool cats will be there with bells on, so check it out.
