Take in some original indie rock down at The Oak and The Ax on Main Street in Biddeford as local acts Family Planning and Heart Murmur Sounds Good join forces with touring acts Bad History Month and Dust From 1000 Years for an evening of good times and good tunes. Things get underway at this truly unique venue Southern Maine venue right around 8 o’clock.
Check out Choro Luoco, Portland’s only Brazilian choro ensemble live at Blue on Congress Street in Portland this evening. The band features Carl Dimow, Nicole Rabata, Joel Eckhaus, Eric Winter, and Kris Day. Things get underway right around 8:30.
An open mic night designed specifically for DJs will be happening at Flask Lounge on Spring Street in Portland this Tuesday. The event allows up-and-coming DJs to take a chance and get up on the tables alongside local veterans who are there to lend some helping hands and ears. All you need to bring are records, CDs and a controller. All formats of music are welcome as the fun gets started at 9 o’clock down at this free Tuesday night party.
Bull Feeney’s in the Old Port presents another acoustic open mic night cwith lead vocalist of The Dapper Gents, Jacob McCurdy playing and emceeing at this free and fun Tuesday night party. Tonight Jacob invites everyone on to the stage to show off their musical talents starting at 9:30.

Check out some roots rock tunes for free tonight over at Gritty’s in the Old Port where local musician Travis James Humphrey will be playing a solo set of tunes. Humphrey will be doing his thing starting right around 10pm. to midnight tonight.
