One of Maine’s most beloved natural treasures, Acadia National Park, is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2016. That means there’s going to be a lot going on all year long, from winter through spring, summer into fall, outdoors and in all over Mount Desert Island, with plenty to see and do that you and me just won’t want to miss.
Annual park passes, normally $50, will be on sale all through the month of December for half-price. Yep, for just $25 you can gain entry into the park all year long for hiking, bicycling, paddling, sightseeing, camping and whatnot. Park passes must be purchased in person at the park visitor center on Eagle Lake Rd (ME 233) a couple miles west of Bar Harbor. Sorry, no phone orders.
So get on up to Acadia, get your half-price park pass for a full 2016 season of outdoor fun at one of America’s most beautiful and popular national parks, and enjoy some late season hiking and wandering about. More details here. Any questions, call the park at 288-3338.
