Kazeem Lawal & Kate Merrill
Have you met “the best dressed” people of Portland? Well, they all seem to work at one place. Portland Trading Co. is owned by the always dapper Kazeem Lawal and alongside him are some of the best dressed in the biz. PTCo. is that place that I always end up talking about in a conversation. I was at a concert at Port City recently and the band’s frontman even waxed poetic about the shop on stage. It’s hard not to.
Kate and Kazeem gave us their picks for great gifts to give this season. “While striving to stay true to our mission of accessibility, community and love, we believe we’ve covered a great selection of gift items to pick from this holiday season. From stocking stuffers to memorable presents for loved ones, a shopper will find something for anyone, and everyone at PTCo,” they say. And it’s true. There really isn’t a shop in town that carries the selection that PTC does. You can find housewares, international magazines, Maine-made goods and their own line Kofi. And Kazeem is always looking for new talent to showcase in his shop. If you’ve already finished your holiday shopping, stop in for some killer stocking stuffers. They’ve also put together gift baskets so the work is already done for you.
