Portland on Ice | Jan. 25-Feb. 1
Downtown Portland
Live music, outdoor sporting demos, shopping events, family activities. Kicks off with the annual Ice Bar at Portland Harbor Hotel.

Biddeford WinterFest 2013 | Feb. 1-3
Various locations in Biddeford
Don’t miss the Biddeford Big Air show on Feb. 1 with more than 40 skiers and riders compete in a rail jam and off a tower more than three stories high. Also find sleigh rides, pony rides, snow volleyball arts and crafts and more throughout the weekend.

Kennebunk Winterfest | Feb. 2
Various locations in Kennebunk
Pancake breakfast, horse-drawn wagon rides, soup tasting contest, ice skating, craft fair and more.

Brunswick Longfellow Days 2013 | Feb. 2-27
Brunswick
Month-long celebration includes activities like community poetry, lectures, tours, dining events and films.

Mardis Gras in Ogunquit | Feb. 8-10
Various locations in Ogunquit
Don’t miss the hat parade and hat party, the crowning of the Mardi Gras king and queen, music and other events during the festival sponsored by the Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce.

Naples Winter Carnival | Feb. 9
Naples Causeway
Annual event includes an ice fishing derby, snowmobile radar runs, helicopter rides, antiques snowmobiles, hay rides, fireworks and more.

Annual Bethel WinterFest | Feb. 9-24

Events include a Feb. 16 Snowcano (a volcano made from snow), Feb. 23 Railwars rail jam, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, concerts, kids’ activities and more.

Moosehead lake Sno-Fest | Feb. 16-17
Greenville
Events include a chili/chowder cookoff, various snowmobile events and other outdoor winter activities.

Annual Family Fun Day | Feb. 21
Shawnee Peak, Bridgton
Events include a scavenger hunt, snow scultping, pie eating, tug of war and storybook characters come to life, all free.

Annual Winter Family Fun Day | Feb. 23
Aroostook State Park, Presque Isle
Participate in cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, dog sled rides, guided nature walks and more.Event runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with $1.50 fee for adults.
