Between the pumpkins, the pork, and the potential for new pants, this weekend is looking more promising than ever. And some of you lucky folks even have Monday off. I don’t, which means I’ll be calling in sick and going to watch the pumpkinboat regatta in Damariscotta. The regatta is the final event of Pumpkinfest, which continues all weekend with pumpkin desserts, pumpkin carving, pumpkin hurling, pumpkin catapulting, and pumpkin drops. Over in Gardiner, pork is the center of attention during Swine & Stein, and it’s a cheese-centric Sunday during Open Creamery Day. Husbands will drop wives up at Sunday River during the annual Wife-Carrying Championship, and for those of you who like to keep your closets fresh and well-circulated, don’t miss SWAP Maine’s swap at SPACE.
Swap Maine is right around the corner. We’ve got an exclusive sneak peek at 15 items that will be at the swap on Saturday, October 12! Come take a look!
