I ran into Andrew and Alex, a couple that works for Salt Water Farm in Rockport, while they were visiting Portland for the day. The two run Union Hall, SWF’s cafe, which just so happens to be my current favorite place. Kismet!

We’ve talked about purging our closets before, but you know what I hoard more than clothing? Beauty products. Hairspray, eyeshadows and nail polish abound in a tiny space in my even tinier bathroom. Here’s the “before” and “after” of a major closet overhaul.

It continues to be another scorching summer week here in Portland. Everyone around town seems to be feeling it–and wearing way less clothes, understandably so. I spotted this young Mainer looking awfully cute with a headband, short shorts and skateboard.

We talk a lot about “Maine style” here on Fore Front Fashion, but we’ve never really defined it. I’ve been reaching out to stylish folk that are deeply rooted in Maine style to find out how they’d define it. First up we have Christine Mitchell, the talented illustrator, stylist and blogger behind N’East Style.

A Brooklyn native after my own heart. I just can’t resist a lady in plaid pants. It was her first pilgrimage to the Portland area and she gushed about how much she loved it here.
