They’ve sung in packed auditoriums in around the world. They rock out to the electric guitar and sing contemporary and classic tunes at the top of their lungs. Many of them, like Arthur, use a walker or cane to get to their spot on the stage. This is the Young@Heart Chorus, where for over 30 years elderly New Englanders have defied the labels that accompany their age to embody the wild and rebellious spirit of rock-n-roll.

Bartenders Guy Streitburger and Patrick McDonald stand behind the counter of Gingko Blue’s long bar, polishing the shakers and spoons they’ll use to mix up the Prohibition and Literary-style creations that form the foundation of their rather large specialty cocktail menu. They are incredibly friendly, clearly skilled, and don’t take too seriously the admittedly serious business of crafting perfect cocktails.
