Yesterday you may have done a double take if you were down in the Old Port and saw a red food truck parked at 215 Commercial Street. Well, my friend Nancy and I stopped by the Hood Soup Boutique, a promotional tour featuring chef-created soups featuring Hood Cream, and let me tell you: you have to go! They’re ladling out generous (and FREE!) samples of two soups.

Next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday you’ll be able to snag a premium sample of a soup created by The Farmer’s Table’s own Chef Jeff Landry. Chef Jonathan Dunn of Lavishly Dunn Catering will be serving up his Hood Cream recipe and you’ll have a a chance to pick up product coupons and recipe cards. The best part is that Hood will donate $1 to a local food bank for every sample they hand out, so you can help fill some bellies while you fill your own.

HP Hood announced the launch of the Soup Boutique, a touring food truck sampling chef-created soups featuring Hood Cream. The truck makes a Portland stop on Dec 6 and will featured a soup from Portland chef Jeff Landry of The Farmer’s Table)
