Over the past week I’ve been in two weddings and attended a funeral in between. My skin has taken a beating in between all the travel, lack of sleep, smiling, laughing, crying and overload of makeup. After getting a facial a few weeks ago, the esthetician asked if I was using any retinol on my skin. When I said I wasn’t, she told me that it would change my life (and face) forever.
I often get asked what makes me want to stop someone and take their photo. It usually comes down to seeing someone that I want to strike up a conversation with. And spotting someone with a ukulele doesn’t hurt either.
If you were planning on getting to the beach over the weekend and got rained out, have no fear. You can look sun-kissed without ever stepping foot outside! Here’s how to apply it correctly so you don’t look like a carrot.
Sometimes when I meet really cool high school students, I wish I had a photo with me of when I was their age. Okay so no one actually knows what Yeti Breath tastes like, but apparently they eat yellow snow and thus this flavor is more like a lemon coconut snow cone. Intrigued yet?
I’m a bit of a sun worshiper. Do I always wear sunblock when I’m in the sun? Yes. Do I love laying out in the sun? Yes. These two are often counter productive. A new article came out in the New York Times that educated me about using sunscreen and I learned a few tricks I’ll be putting to use this summer.
My skin hasn’t gotten the memo yet. I’m not fifteen anymore. Why the pimple? Why the patchy dry skin in the winter? Aren’t I supposed to be a glowing, dewy adult by now?! Luckily, I’ve found a pretty good solution. Drumroll please…!
Mother’s Day is coming right up! I’ve rounded up some great gift ideas for Mommie dearest so you can stop hemmin’ and hawwin’ over to what to get her. And of course they’re all from local shops because you know how I roll. Check them out!
