Winter First Friday Art Walks may not bring the numbers to the streets that those in the balmy days of summer do, but this month’s may actually seem to signal that the warmer seasons are on their way. For your Feb. 1 walk, expect temperatures in the mid-30s – about 20 degrees warmer than what we bundled up against just last week.

I love to tease my husband about the fact that he actually applied for his first credit card while we were dating, just so he could take me out. Little did he know I’m really easy….to please, that is!

Downtown Gardiner glows with warmth and light as the community uncovers the true spirit of the season. Celestial song lead by the choral group “Mainely Harmony” helps Gardiner residents summons the magic of the holidays by bringing to light the official tree in Downtown Gardiner from 5:30 to 6:30pm on Saturday, Dec. 1st. The glow from these lights endures throughout the month of December as a number of events help to make the season bright.
