On the rocks: Ice Bar returns Jan 24-26

Written by: Shannon Bryan - mainetoday.com editor - sbryan@mainetoday.com

PORTLAND – We are excited to announce plans for our 2013 Ice Bar. Tickets are on sale.

The 2013 Ice Bar at Portland Harbor Hotel is Thursday to Saturday, January 24-26. Tickets are on sale, order yours now. Ticket prices are $20 (entry) and $26 (entry plus a cocktail). Additional drink tickets will be on sale during each night of the Ice Bar.

During the Ice Bar there’s more than one way to stay warm. Options include: standing nearby one of the fire pits, snuggling (presumably with your date), or retreating upstairs to your room to warm up and recharge for more Ice Bar! If the room option sounds appealing, then call us toll free (888) 798-9090 and say you would like to reserve a room during the Ice Bar.

This year’s Ice Bar will feature food and drink from some of Portland’s top restaurants. So far the list includes Spread, Zapoteca and our new neighbor in the Old Port (opening November 26) Buck’s Naked BBQ. Shipyard Brewing Company beers will be flowing from the Ice Bar beer taps. For 2013 Smirnoff will be gliding down the vodka martini luges. We hope you will join in adding to the excitement of the Ice Bar by ordering your tickets today and letting friends know you’re planning to attend.

Each year the Portland Harbor Hotel Ice Bar raises money for area charitable organizations. Last year $15,000 was donated. We hope to exceed that amount this year and make it a record setting Ice Bar.
