Coffee By Design open house, tours and brewing techniques

Written by: mainetoday.com - - info@mainetoday.com

Coffee By Design to Host Open House October 26
as Part of Harvest on the Harbor’s “Harvest Happenings”

PORTLANDCoffee By Design will be celebrating Harvest on the Harbor on Friday, October 26 with an open house at its Coffee Micro Roastery and Origins Bar at 43 Washington Ave. in Portland.

The event will include free roastery tours open to the public. Tours will begin at 11:00 a.m. and last until 4:00 p.m.

In addition, Coffee By Design will be educating coffee drinkers about the differences between four brewing techniques. Visitors will be able to sample two coffees – the Harvest on the Harbor blend and the Two Fat Cat’s Purrfect blend – brewed using an aeropress, a French press, a pour-over, and a Bonavita coffee maker.

“As always, we are thrilled to be participating in Harvest on the Harbor – not just during the big events, but also at our roastery with our open house,” notes Mary Allen Lindemann, owner of Coffee By Design. “We are passionate about educating our customers about their coffee – where it comes from, how it’s roasted, and how it’s brewed. We think our tours combined with the sampling of coffees prepared four different ways will give our customers a fun opportunity to learn more about the coffee they drink every day.”

For more information on the open house and sampling at the Coffee Micro Roastery and Origins Bar, go to www.coffeebydesign.com or call 207-879-2233 ext. 207.

In addition to the open house, Coffee By Design will be participating in four different Harvest on the Harbor events. For more information, go to www.harvestontheharbor.com.
